Hi lovelies! Whether you are a super mom or in the office all day (or both!), we could all use an easier way to care for our face and feel we look our very best. Working a 9-5 and coming home to a blog and eBay store has definitely left me with less sleep and even less time to worry about my complexion. When I was reached out to by VIIcode skin care to give their new eye masks a try, I was all onboard! These are eye masks like I’ve never seen before because they will literally make you look prettier while you sleep! No work required! Unlike other eye and sheet masks, the VIIcode eye mask is an 8 hour overnight treatment. All you do is apply the masks under your eyes, lay back, and let the mask do it’s work while you snooze! Other masks that aren’t intended for sleep have been hard to fit into my schedule because I am always on the go and I can’t always commit to staying at home for enough time to let the masks do their magic. But you can bet I will commit to 8 hours of sleep! The eye masks are super easy to apply, all you do is peel off the backing and place under your pretty little eyes. It was recommended to place the masks in the fridge before application, which I had never tried with another eye mask. This made the masks SO cool and refreshing, it felt like a spa treatment as soon as I applied them! Plus the masks are actually a gel-like material, so you don’t have to worry about any application mess. I move a lot when I sleep, so I was worried about where I would find the masks after I woke up. But low and behold they were exactly where I put them the night before! They weren’t sticky and came off easily. After only 3 or 4 nights of using the VIIcode eye masks I noticed significantly less darkness under my eyes, and felt overall I just looked more refreshed and rested. That is not so easy to accomplish! If you are ready to get prettier while you sleep, you can learn more and purchase your own VIIcode eye masks yourself here! Now through the end of February you can get $5 off site wide with code "SYDNEY" so make sure to check out all the skin care products VIIcode has to offer!

Happy Saturday beauties! I know my whole thing here is sharing how to be your very best expensive self without spiraling into debt, but when it comes to beauty purchases, there’s no secondhand or thrifting (ew). And when it comes to these items, sometimes you just have to cough up the change for better, high quality products. While some items are overrated (looking at you La Mer), some I’ve found to be a step above the rest and worth the extra dough. Keep scrolling for the items I’ve found to be worth the higher price tags! Nars Tinted Moisturizer $45 I shared this beauty purchase on my IG story not too long ago, but I am already a believer! You can't Google this Nars tinted moisturizer without finding THOUSANDS of raving reviews. And now I know why! I had all but completely given up on finding a foundation that blends well but still covers, but this is the perfect alternative. Not only does this product moisturize AND protect your skin against the sun, but the tint of color gives just the right amount of coverage without *looking* like you are wearing any cover up. Plus you avoid the general matte-ness of typical foundations, as this product gives you just the right amount of dewy-ness without looking oily. Definitely one of my more expensive makeup purchases, but it's worth every penny! This is my first time purchasing this product, so it is hard to say how long this amount will last. I've had it for approximately a month, and would say I have used about half. coco Mademoiselle Chanel Perfume $130 My all-time favorite scent! When it comes to perfumes, I've found the higher quality and longer lasting products come from high end (+ more expensive) brands. For the longest time, I was sporting the Victoria's Secret Bombshell perfume ($60). While it does smell delicious, I found myself spritzing more on through out the day. A typical bottle would often last me around 6 months. I bought this bottle of Coco Mademoiselle perfume back during my Beverly Hills birthday in March (you can read more about it here!) and it is still going strong 10 months later! MAC Brow Pencil + Brow Gel $36 It really seems brows are just everywhere aren't they? As someone who plucked their eyebrows into tiny lines in middle school (shudder) I'm obsessed now with keeping them thick. For the longest time I was using the Revlon Fantasy dual pencil and brush tool, which was definitely a solid product for being only $6. But like many other drug store purchases, the longevity is just not there. I would come home after a long day to find half the brows I left the house with. I love the MAC brow products because they stick around for hours without smudging or disappearing. Plus a little goes a really long way, I honestly can't remember when I bought these pieces. I would say you only have to re-purchase 2-3 times a year.
Thank you for reading! Let me know what beauty products you splurge on, plus I would love to know if you enjoy reading beauty posts on Fancy Free! Turtleneck Oversized Sweater [new, $20], Stuart Weitzman OTK Boots [secondhand, $200], YSL clutch [new, $20] Kate Spade Oversized Studs [new, $9] Outfit Total: $249 Happy almost Christmas! The next 5 days are sure to be filled with fun and joy, so enjoy the time with a quick and easy holiday party look! This oversized sweater is an H&M black Friday find, which was 1/2 off at under $20 + free shipping! *always a selling point for me* It is SO cozy and soft, plus incredibly versatile. I've worn this sweater with leggings and flats to work, and then ditched the pants for night! ;) It's a great look for a party because it is totally easy and fuss free, plus you can eat to your hearts content without looking like you're preggers. When going with an oversized sweater, I would definitely recommend high boots to off-set the short length of the sweater. I am 5'8", and without these OTK boots I looked like I was definitely missing an article of clothing. But I love the sexy peak of thigh between the boots and the sweater, while still remaining 99% covered and warm (if you happen to live in a part of the country or world that goes under 60 degrees). I am definitely NOT a beauty guru, so I am all about a hairstyle that is easy and achievable but still glam (if ONLY I had a dollar for every YouTube video I watched that has gone so terribly wrong...I wouldn't need to shop sales) I've been all about leaving hair out around my face when wearing an up-do. I think the look is more put together and elegant, and less like I'm hitting the gym up after. I used a clear elastic tie for the high half, which I think is very important for a seamless look. They are super cheap at Target or drugstores, and I just find them far less distracting than a big black hair tie. I'm usually a pretty low maintenance chick when it comes to make-up (refer to previous comment about ZERO beauty skills) and typically stick to my tinted moisturizer, brow gel, blush, and mascara. I add a tinted chapstick when I'm feeling flirty. xD But hey, it is the holiday season! For this look I added liquid liner to my lids and a nice, sheer gold eye shadow. The color is actually from an Urban Decay palette I picked up earlier this year for under $20 at Nordstrom Rack. I always love to go through their small beauty bins and stands because sometimes they do get in some really good brands and products. To offset the gold eye shadow, I went with a darker hue of lipstick (HA like I know what I am talking about). This lipstick is actually a sample of Bobbi Brown that I got from The Cosmetics Company Store. This is essentially an outlet store for the Estee Lauder company and all of their sub-brands, i.e. Mac, Clinique, Bobbi Brown, and a variety of perfumes. It's not a place to come for specifics as items and shades vary, but they have a large number of products at super discounted products. They also have a special where you pick a make up bag and 6 very decent samples from a large selection for only $10! That is where I got this lipstick AND a number of cute little stocking stuffer gifts! Thanks so much for reading! Let me know what you think of this look in the comments below!
If you are anything like me, you have watched endless YouTube makeup tutorials and read every article on the planet, but you can never get your makeup to look like the beauty guru's in their videos and posts. You but the products and the gadgets, but you still end up looking like you are on your way to a middle school dance. You all know, of all the daunting makeup tricks, there is the elusive.... Cat eye! *insert horror emoji* Either one wing is way longer than the other, they are pointing in complete opposite directions, or you just end up going for the Egyptian look because you have now completely covered your eyelid in black liner all the way up to your hairline. Whatever your problem is, there is no denying that the cat-eye is PRO MAKEUP ARTIST status. That is why I was SO excited to be reached out to by Wings*Cosmetics to share with you guys all about their *life changing* tool that will seriously change the way you look at applying makeup! Essentially, it is a little stamp for your liner. There are only three steps for a flawless cat eye! So easy! Step 1: Apply liquid liner to The stamp Step 2: Stamp onto corner of eye, press lightly Step 3: Fill in Liner And voile! There are currently two sizes of stamps [classic and dramatic] which makes it that much easier to create your perfect look! Not only is this tool CREATED for makeup newbies, but it is also latex free, cruelty free, AND made in the USA! As well, the company offers kits for purchase that go straight to women that have been rescued from sex trafficking. Beauty and philanthropy make such a great combination! If you are interested in trying out your own Wings*Cosmetics eyeliner stamps, definitely check out their website here! No more crazy eyes for you!
Hi all! While traveling is a blast, it can also be stressful and take a toll on your health and appearance. Especially traveling so much lately, I have been super neglectful to my hair. Using super drying hotel shampoo, throwing my locks up in tight topknots, and nervously picking my ends (my nasty habit) has contributed to flat and dull hair with a definitive need for a pick me up. This is when I lean to my favorite (and slightly pricey) hair conditioning treatment. Olaplex is a hair treatment typically used for those who color their hair, but is really a very good treatment for anyone with damaged locks. Olaplex helps the hair repair broken strands, ultimately transforming the top of your head into a shiny soft haven of healthy hair! This treatment retails at $25 for a 3.3oz, which is definitely on the more expensive side for me. While I don't use it every week as prescribed on the bottle, I love to keep it in stock for times like these when my hair needs a little (or a lot) of TLC. Step 1: Apply to wet hair Step 2: Let sit for at least 10 minutes Step 3: Rinse, wash, and dry Step 4: Voila! Feel like a goddess! |
