When you make a purchase at any high end retailer, you can bet your (large) amount of money will be in exchange for a pretty item wrapped up in a bow. Literally!

One perk of making such an expensive purchase is getting to carry around your pretty bag tied up with a pretty ribbon. And you should make sure to hold onto every piece! One way to get a small amount of your money back from your large purchase is to resell the designer repackaging you received for "free." Some people want to buy the packaging for decor, others may want to use them as gifts. Either way, I've seen a well kept Chanel bag and bow sell for almost $50! A small portion of what you probably spent, but it's better than nothing!

I personally like to hold onto all of my designer packaging. Keep scrolling for my favorite way to re-purpose!

This bow came on the Chanel bag when I purchased my Coco Mademoiselle perfume on Rodeo Dr. for my birthday. I love tying my hair back with it because I think it adds a fun, classy detail. And hey, it says Chanel. ;) PLUS it is a super easy hairstyle. I tied my second day hair back with a clear, elastic tie (leaving a few pieces in the front out) and just tied the bow right over. Make sure to puff up the two bows so they do not look all stringy.

ALSO! I can't get away without sharing my most recent fancy find, these Tory Burch pointy bow flats. I've been looking for a pointy toe flat with a bow because I think they are so preppy and really pull together an outfit. I found this pair on Poshmark for $50. I put an offer in for $40 (I'm not one of those stingy low-ballers) and the seller accepted quickly! I was so pleased with how good condition they were, for being approximately 1/6 of the retail price. Score!
