Hi lovelies! I hope everyone had a fun fourth of July and a very short work week! Of course I had dress accordingly for the holiday (are we *really* American if we don't wear our nation's colors?) and I also went a little overload on my favorite summer trend! J. Crew tie up top [new, $12], Express tie up skirt [new, $15], Tory Burch flats [new, $100], Louis Vuitton bag [secondhand, $100], Rayban aviators [new, $90] I have been OBSESSING over the tied up pieces we have been seeing a lot of this year. It allows for a little extra hint of skin and totally has a retro 70's vibe going on. Anytime I come across a sale piece with this detail it typically ends up in my arms... *monkey covering eyes emoji* So somehow for my fourth ensemble I ended up with two tied up pieces...overload? Maybe. Was I feeling it? Totally! I love J. Crew pieces because they are typically high quality and last in my wardrobe for a long time. However these mid range, basic items are pricey at retail (but that may be changing!) so you can usually find me bee-line to the back for the sale section. No shame! I found this super fun top during an extra 50% off sale (I live for those...) and voila! $12 J. Crew adorableness. I picked up this skirt at Express last year while on vacation. I don't typically love this store because of quality issues, but I saw the ties and sale tag so I was sold. It has held up really well and is simple enough to go with a lot of shirts but is still fun with a vintage feel. This outfit wouldn't be complete without a touch of red! <3 I have shared these shoes' story before, but long story short I found them for a great deal brand new at a Tory Burch outlet in Germany. The store had a promote for when you spent $200, you got 30% off your purchase. So for these flats and a hella cut top, we paid under $150. Can't beat that for brand new Tory!
Thank you for following along! :* Make sure to check out Fancy Free next week for a new post on a few new finds (including Chanel!!)
