Happy Monday!

I share a lot of secondhand finds on here that take quite a bit of time to research, and sometimes a lot of patience and luck. I wanted to share more looks and pieces that are new and more available to everyone so you can shop the same or similar pieces. Today I'm sharing an entirely brand new look with high quality pieces that all cost me under $50! Keep scrolling!

J. Crew White Wrap Top [new, $5] Banana Republic Skinny Ankle Jeans [new, $15] Banana Republic Suede Block Heel Sandals [new, $0] Leith Three Tone Bag [new, $25]

I know I've talked about this before, but I LOVE Banana Republic jeans. I try to avoid the 100% cotton ones and look for the pairs that include spandex or another stretchy material because, well, ya know. I have jeans from BR that I've had for years and still hold their shape. I've linked the skinny ankle pair that I'm wearing above. Im between 26/27 jean and went with the 26 for these because BR tends to run on the bigger side. I picked these up through an online sale for only $15!
Picture
I love a classic ballet wrap top, so when I came across this top on 60% clearance at J. Crew I scooped it up right away! I mean for $5, how can you go wrong? I have so many colors. J. Crew is currently having another 60% off clearance sale, so I've linked wrap tops above that you can also shop!

I had my eye on this Leith bag from Nordstrom for a while, and loved the neutral classic combination of colors that would make it easy to mix and match between outfits. And as you can see from other pieces from Leith, this seems to be their style of bags. I've used this bag a number of times over the past few months and find the quality very good. Unfortunately I could not find the same bag,  but I have shared a couple of other neutral and statement bags from Leith, some that are on clearance.

You probably thought the $0 for these shoes I posted above was a mistake, but believe it or not I got them completely free! As previously mentioned, I have a Banana Republic credit card that I use as much restraint with as possible to collect points and rewards to spend at Banana Republic, Gap, Old Navy, and Athleta. For this particular purchase, I had a $15 reward. With clearance discounts, that was enough to let me bring these shoes home for nothing else! There aren't many sizes left in these shoes on the BR website, but I've linked a few other cute block heel sandals above.

If you're interested in hearing more about my experience with store credit cards, you can read that blog post HERE.

A few weeks in and I LOVE this watch band. It looks so much like the Hermes watch band, but is a very small fraction of the price! I've linked that below in case you are looking to upgrade your own band, it comes in a variety of colors and is only $25 with free shipping!

Thanks so much for reading! You can shop any of the items above by just clicking the picture which will take you straight to the store's website. I have also updated the blog's "shop my looks" page above that is linked directly to my liketoknowit page that makes it super easy to navigate to shop the outfits I share!

Fancy Find: Designer Leather Bracelets + Great Secondhand Deals

Classic, neutral jewelry pieces make for great additions to outfits and are fun to mix +match and create some serious arm candy! My newest addition is this double wrap clasp leather Hermes bracelet *swoon* I have been searching a while for a leather Hermes bracelet and found this one not too long after it was listed at $75. (On Poshmark I always sort by price low-high, who EVER sorts high-low? I want that life.)

The seller had this originally listed at $80. and I sent in an offer at $50 to feel her out. She accepted pretty quickly! With $6.95 shipping, I ended up paying under $60 for over $300. As far as authenticating, Poshmark has zero tolerance for knockoffs or replicas, so I intended to look over the item thoroughly before accepting the order to ensure this is legit. If for any reason I did not find the item to be authentic, I could open a case and get my money back. The leather felt in great quality, the stitching was pristine, and the Hermes engravings and stamps were consistent. Happy day for me!

The other bracelet I'm wearing above is Louis Vuitton bracelet hubs brought back for me from a business trip. I love these designer accessories because they are great for spicing up an outfit and making it look more luxurious! Below I've listed similar secondhand Hermes and Louis Vuitton bracelets that are great for mixing and matching. Just click the picture and it will bring you straight to the site for purchase!

How I Stay Productive Working For Myself

Working for myself has been so great, and I would never want it any other way, but it absolutely takes discipline to stay on track and maintain efficiency. I would not say it is for everyone. If I'm being honest...I am a procrastinator. A huge one. I always have been. And in the past I have always panicked when my deadline approaches. When it comes to the success of my business,  I have decided to put in place for myself a few rules I try to follow to ensure I make each day worthwhile and efficient. Keep scrolling to see my tried and true tips!

Write Out Your To-Do List

I thrive when I have set out exactly what I expect of myself that day, and I'm surprised daily by how much I can get done when I simply tell myself to just do it. Typically the last thing I do in a day is write out what I want to achieve the next day. That way I can hit the ground running when I wake up! I have daily to-do checklists that I love for daily goals. I've shared some really cute ones below from Amazon!
The organized chaos one... I feel that on a personal level

Start the Day By Making The Bed

Not only do I feel like I sleep better when I get into a bed that has been made, but by getting this one small task done gets yours day jumpstarted with momentum!

Change Out of Your PJs

When you work from home and have no intention of leaving the house (like every other day for me) it's easy to slide from your bed straight to your desk. But I feel like when I do this, I stay in a sleepy funk. It's amazing how much more put together and business-y I feel once I take 30 minutes to shower, change my clothes (even if it's into athleisure), and make myself presentable (even if it's for the mail man). I work quicker and with more purpose!

Start Your Work Day With The Easiest TaSk

Having a master's degree in psychology has taught me a thing or two in motivation. You are more likely to get more done when you start and complete your easiest task first vs. trying to tackle your biggest project of the day. Something about checking it off makes you more motivated instead of losing steam in an overwhelming task. For me,  I start my day by updating my spreadsheets with what sold over night. From there I feel I can take on the world!

Mark Off Each Task As You Complete It

This 2 second movement means sooo much to me. As I see more items I have completed, I feel more compelled to get more done!

Make Your Goals Quantitative So You Can See Your Progress

This will help you stay more accountable and be as successful as you can be. Instead of telling myself "I want to sell a lot this month," I tell myself "I'm going to make $xxxx of sales this month." No slacking, achieve those goals!

Don'T Forget Your Mental Health Day

When you work for yourself, you will find yourself working every day, and you will forget what day of the week it is consistently. Sometimes I realize I worked the entire weekend without any fun! I try to take one day a week where I do minimum (share my closet, get my shipping up to date, and that is it). You will burn out and find yourself resenting your business if you don't.

Stay Up To Date On Your BOOKKEEPING

Unless you are running a bookkeeping business, this is probably the most daunting part of your business. It is for me! It is busy work that really isn't making me any money. But when you find yourself a week or two in without having kept up in money flow and inventory, you will have caused yourself extra time of looking through your receipts/sales/books etc to get everything in order. Save yourself the time and just input everything daily or as it happens.

Set Phone Limits On Your Netflix/IG/Whatever

Hubby actually did this without my knowledge, but I'm grateful for it! Since I'm not on a typical 9-5 schedule, I usually work from when I wake up until I go to bed with breaks sporadically throughout the day. I usually like to feel these breaks with Netflix or Prime video. It is also super easy to wander onto my "fun" apps when I use my phone so much for business purposes. We all know how quickly a couple hours can go by with that handy "next episode" button. With these alerts it reminds me once I've been on a certain app for a certain amount of time, which usually comes as a surprise to me. It has definitely helped me cut down on unnecessary phone time!

Write Out Your Accomplishments

Owning your own business is really filled with so much up and down (as very accurately depicted in the graph picture at the top of this post) Even though I resell full time, there are still days when I don't earn a single dollar in sales. It is so discouraging when you have put in 10+ hours of work that day! I've started a "big accomplishments" sheet of paper in a notebook where I write down my top sale days, top blog view days, etc., which really helps when I'm feeling down about my progress. It reminds me of my highs and helps me get through my lows.

I hope my tips for efficiency can offer some help to you other boss babes and dudes. I would love to hear any of your own tips below in the comments!

I will be the first to admit I love a clean, classic, neutral look, but sometimes you just want to add a dash of something special! And when I am feeling spicy like that (yeah right I can't really handle spicy but you know what I mean) I love to use a silk scarf to tie up in my hair, around my neck, or on one of my handbags. I recently wanted to find a few cute new ways to integrate a scarf onto my purse and discovered a couple cute and fun ideas!! Keep scrolling to see a couple how to dos!

First off, all these cute styles start off by folding up the scarf longwise. Like this!

And from there just tie away!

These first few are SUPER easy but still cute in just seconds:

So easy! **I am definitely NOT a DIY type of person so you can trust me**

The scarf I used is 100% silk AND only $9.99 AND comes in over 14 different colors and patterns! It is a total Hermes lookalike without the 4 figure price tag. Pick up one below before they sell out!
ALSO I've scoured the internet and found a variety of Longchamp La Pliage totebags similar to the one I used above secondhand for great prices! I love this bag because it is a great quality bag that is timeless and chic and goes with everything. I don't see them around the US as much as I see them in Europe (it's a French brand) but those Europeans know whats good when it comes to fashion! These are all from TheRealReal, and when you sign up you get a $25 credit, making some these bags only $25!

Amazon Apple Watch Band Faves: Hermes Lookalike!

1/8/2019

My favorite handy dandy leather Apple Watch band I had for nearly two years finally bite the dust, so I have been on the hunt for a new classic + neutral band. I LOVE the Hermes bands but I just couldn't bring myself to drop so much dough. I especially love the double wrap style band, and was so excited to find an all leather look a like on Amazon for $25!

So similar right?? I love mine! I went with an off white color because I feel like it is more versatile for outfits vs brown (which made my ocd go off when I wore black). PLUS I love that it came with a clear rubber cover for the watch itself. I never knew how many things I hit my arm with until I had an Apple Watch. So many scratches!

I've linked the watch band link below, just click and go!
I also did a little digging and found a few other way-more-expensive-looking-than-they-actually-are bands from Amazon, all under $30 and prime! Check them out below!
**pretty sure I'm getting the nova check one next**
