Confession time - in middle school I plucked out nearly all my eyebrows :O I had only these tiny little lines above my eyes...I looked like a cartoon, and I can't stand to look at photos of myself from age 12-14. Due to this, my eyebrows are kind of patchy, and I rarely have to pluck because I'm thinking I caused some lifelong damage to the hair follicles... Before:Ever since then I have been obsessed with filling in my brows and trying to get them to *look* full. I have tried a LOT of products, but the one I've been using for the past 7 years that I've found to be the easiest to get full, bushier brows has been MAC's tinted brow gel. See the difference below! *free shipping and returns!* After:Its super easy!
This has been the only non-drugstore make up product I have been buying for years. I've tried drugstore eyebrow gels from Revlon and Elf, but they just don't seem to give me the same shape, and definitely weren't lasting all day. The MAC product color and gel lasts all day, and the color spreads really easily and evenly. $23 is a lot for an eyebrow gel (to me at least) but the product really goes a long way. I typically only have to buy a new one every 4-5 months, plus I save up the tubes to return to MACs recycling program for a free lipstick. You can read more about that program and how it works HERE.

If you've been following my blog for a while you already know, but if you are new here I will fill you in on a little secret.... I don't know what I'm doing when it comes to hair and makeup AT ALL. I like things EASY and FAST. So when I came across this blow dryer + brush combo I was very intrigued because I love the way my hair looks and feels after blowing it out, but having to use both hands to accomplish this is so difficult on your own. I had seen other people talking about a similar Revlon product, but this one was half the price so I thought I would just try it out to see if it works for me.
Turns out.... it's amazing! It is super easy and fast to blow dry my hair, and the texture lasts for days #dryshampoo
I've made a little demo below so you can see just how easy it is to use! I've also linked the product below so you can easily try it out for self, it's prime and free 1 day shipping! Life gets so busy! I mean, can you really believe 2019 is already half way over? Between thrifting, listing, shipping, blogging and then starting the process all over again, it can be hard to find time to try new beauty and skin care products. I’m looking for something that is super easy to apply, and if I can even use it while I'm sleeping, even better right? I’ve worked with skin care company VIIcode before, and I was excited to try out more of their products! My favorite hands down is the oxygen eye mask for under eye circles. The masks contain vitamins, antioxidants, proteins, botanicals, peptides, and fatty acids (all the good stuff!) that totally revamp and recharge your under eyes to make you look more awake and refreshed. I love the cool gel of the masks that sticks and conforms to your under eyes, they feel so soothing as soon as I put them on! The best part? It is totally recommended to wear these eye masks while you sleep! You literally get prettier while you snooze. Despite being the craziest sleeper out there, the eye masks still managed to be all in one place! When I took them off in the morning, I really did see a noticeable difference in the color and size of my under eye circles. The line between under eye circle and cheek was a lot less noticeable on me. Another product VIIcode sent over is their new oxygen hydrating eye spray. Similar to the oxygen eye mask, this spray goes on cool and feels really refreshing. I actually have been keeping it next to my computer for those long hours of listing and writing. I like to spritz on a few sprays when my eyes get tired from focusing on the screen for too long. If you are interested in trying VIIcode eye masks for yourself, and getting rid of under eye circles while you sleep, you can check out their site and products HERE. You can also use code SYDNEY to get $5 off your order now through 7/31/19! *While I was paid for this post, all opinions are my own.
It's definitely fun to try all the new beauty trends and products that seem to always be coming out, but when I'm at the store there are a couple products I KNOW are good and will always pick up. A lot of them I have been using since high school! I really believe we don't have to spend hundreds of dollars at a time to have the best beauty products, you just have to find what works best for you. Keep scrolling to see the products I've been using for such a long time that I can't help but recommend them!

L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara
This is hands down the beauty product that I have been most loyal to since I was a teenager. This mascara is amazing! I don't know the science/magic behind it, but it just lifts and curls eyelashes so well, and holds all day. When I was a cashier at Target in high school, it literally happened more than once where a woman coming through my check out line asked what mascara I was wearing, and came back through my line again to buy it.
Olay Moisturizer
I am SO grateful my mom had me start using a daily moisturizer with SPF when I was 13. Not only because I am super pale and avoided a lot of sun burns, but because I feel it has played a large part in avoiding wrinkles.
Revlon Eyebrow Pencil and Gel
Also a high school goody! The pencil + gel combo is very subtle but you really notice a fuller eyebrow. Plus I love that they are combined in one product so you don't have to go searching for two products!
Clean & Clear Morning Burst Face wash
This is a really mild, fresh face wash that I love for the mornings because I really feel like it activates my skin and wakes me up. Even hubby likes to use this stuff everyday.
Burts Bees Tinted Chapstick
Another Target cashier story! So this guy came through my line and told me his lips were so chapped and asked if there were any chapsticks at the counter, and I pointed to the few I had behind him. He handed me a Burts Bees tinted chapstick to ring and I handed it back to him because it seemed like an emergency lol. As I was finishing up the transaction he put some on, and I was astounded to look up and find he had bright red lips! I couldn't bring myself to tell him he had not bought ordinary chapstick, or maybe he knew and liked it? Either way that guy left with some fierce lips. I love this stuff because it is super moisturizing and gives really great, subtle color.
No 7 Tinted Moisturizer
I stumbled across this tinted moisturizer when I was looking for a less expensive option to the Nars products (it hurts to pay that much for makeup!) and this one is so much more bang for your buck. It's great to smooth out any roughness or redness and just give your skin tone a more even look. Plus it has SPF!
Nivea Creme
The OG. I know I've talked before about how great this stuff is, and how closely it resembles much more expensive moisturizers (ahem La Mer) but I just love how full and moisturized my skin feels in the morning after applying over night. Nightly staple at our house!
Milani Baked BLush
Another great, long-lasting higher end makeup dupe! Milani makes an incredibly similar blush to very popular Nars "orgasm". The color lasts all day and a little goes a long way, so the product lasts a long time!
Honestly, I am a reallyyy simple person when it comes to makeup. I only wear tinted moisturizer because I gave up finding a foundation that matches my skin. I have no idea how to contour. I can finally curl my lashes without causing a lot of pain. You get the idea.
Recently one of my favorite bloggers, Rachel Parcell, shared her favorite lip stick + lip pencil combo and I had to try it out because I love a natural, rosy lip and I loved how full they looked!
The lipstick color is called "creme cup" and the lip liner is called "soar". You can check them out below!
I've been using this combo every day since I got it because it's so natural, but really defines the lips and makes them pop. The lip liner is really close to my natural lip color so it just makes them more full, and the lipstick adds a pretty pop of pink.
The greatest thing about this new lip combo? I didn't have to pay a dime for the lipstick! MAC has this great recycling program called BACK TO MAC where you bring in 6 old, empty MAC containers to be recycled and you get a completely free lipstick! You can even send them in to receive free lipstick through the mail if you don't have time to get to the mall. I have been religiously using MAC's tinted brow gel for years and had been saving them up for this occasion. So easy right?? Just use your MAC products as usual, save them, and get free makeup! You can read more about MAC's recycling program HERE.
