My Secondhand Poshfest Outfit

Ok so in the middle of all the house selling, house buying, RV madness, I made it to my first ever Poshfest in Phoenix, AZ! It was a fun time (that I will share a lot more about soon!) but I first wanted to share the most important part...what I decided to wear :D

I'd heard / seen a lot about what people liked to wear to this event in the past. Definitely a lot of fun, sparkly, eye-catching pieces! My style is more simple and classic, but I wanted to incorporate a little sparkle into my outfit. That is why I was so excited to thrift this dress the week before Poshfest! It had some glitter and sheen while still having a simple, wrap silhouette. You can scroll to see what I paid for everything!

BCBGMaxAzria Wrap Dress [secondhand, $6] Givenchy White Bag [secondhand, $65] Banana Republic Navy Block Heel Sandals [new, FREE] Hermes Wrap Leather Bracelet, [secondhand, $50] Chanel Drop Earrings [secondhand, gift]

Outfit Total: $131
Outfit Retail: $1890

I don't really pick up much BCBG to resell, but when I saw this dress was in my size I was so excited! I loved how fun the color + glitter was, plus I never say no to a good wrap dress (accentuates all the right places!) The thread that holds the retail tag was still attached to the label, which makes me believe it was also brand new without tags!

I've shared about this awesome score these shoes before, but essentially these shoes were past season from Banana Republic so they were on super clearance. The store was having an additional 60% off clearance AND I had a reward from the credit card I have with them. After everything was said and done I didn't pay anything for them! I couldn't believe the last pair they had were in my size. It was meant to be!
(my favorite Apple Watch band that is a great Hermes dupe + great quality!)
Picture
The bag is vintage Givenchy that I scored off Mercari, a lesser known resale site. One thing I love about Mercari is that you can save searches so that when something in that search is listed, you get a notification right away. Thats also how I scored my Golden Goose sneakers! I made an offer on this bag, which the seller accepted!
Picture
The last detail but certainly not the least. My very favorite Chanel earrings! <3 I had told hubs I wanted a pair of Chanel earrings for my past birthday, and given him a couple links to secondhand pairs on Poshmark. Apparently none of them ended up working out, so he actually found this pair on his own! So proud! They are even more beautiful than the others I had picked, and I love the neutral coloring so they go with everything!

Did you go to Poshfest? Share what you chose to wear / what your favorite outfit was at the event below!

The Perfect High Waist Jean shorts On Sale!

I'm all in for this high waist trend I've been seeing everywhere! They are so feminine and create a great hour glass look while also hiding all those extra tacos... I've been looking for a high waist jean short that feels great and is long enough to where I feel like I'm not always adjusting them. I couldn't believe it when I found this Madewell jeans over 50% off!
Picture
BP Bodysuit [new, $12] Madewell Perfect Jean Shorts [new, $29] Valentino Rock Stud Dupe Flip Flops [new, $19] Zara Straw Beach Hat [new, $20] Chanel Cat Eye Sunglasses [secondhand, $30]
I own a couple pairs of Madewell jeans, and looove them. They are so worth the price! They are stretchy and form fitting without stretching out, and have a really long life. If you are looking to purchase a new pair, you can bring in an old pair of jeans (doesn't have to be Madewell!) and get $20 off a new pair! They use them for insulation for Habitat for Humanity, so you are helping those in need as well!

Anwayyy, the shorts are just as great as the jeans I have owned. Like other Madewell jeans, they fit very true to size. I am wearing a size 27, so I recommend going with the size you normally wear.
I'm practically living in these tank bodysuits this summer. They are light and airy, and make all my outfits looks seamless. They come in multiple colors and patterns, so I recommend stocking up because when you spend $50 at Nordstrom Rack you get free shipping! The fit is a bit on the tighter side and because they are thong they come up on high on your hips, so I recommend sizing up one size. I own them in size small and medium, and I find the medium more comfortable.

And of course I love my Amazon designer inspired pieces at a fraction of the price! I've had this Hermes inspired double wrap Apple watch band for 6 months now and it still looks brand new! I get compliments on it all the time. Also loving my rockstud flip flops that look JUST like the Valentino ones, but under $20! Both are prime on Amazon, aka free shipping and free returns, so there is nothing to lose!

Perfect Cute Black Linen Midi Dress For Spring

4/15/2019

If you are following along on Instagram, I went away for a little girl's trip to Santa Barbara over the weekend (my first time there!) and we had the most beautiful time! I picked up the cutest little spring dress at a great price for the trip so I wanted to share my outfit details + what we did in case you are looking to plan your own SB trip!
Picture
I took the Amtrak Surfliner from Los Angeles, which is the most amazing train ride that takes the California coast between SoCal and NorCal. You get the most breathtaking beach views! The train was pretty nice and clean, and there were a lot of big groups having a great time, so it would be a lot of fun to take this for a weekend with a group of friends. The Santa Barbara train station was located really close to the beach and downtown so you can plan to walk straight to wherever you were going once you set foot off the train.

We were only there for one night so we spent our time exploring downtown, the beaches, and eating our way through a couple really good restaurants. We ate lunch at the Sandbar, which is a really fun Mexican restaurant with yummy food and drinks! A lot of the restaurant is out on a patio so it's a great place to enjoy the weather, people watch, and enjoy a frozen marg.

For dinner we ate at Chucks Waterfront Restaurant, which is out on the water next to a boat dock. I recommend sitting on the patio! You have a great view of the water, plus we got the most fun table with a fire in the middle! We had seafood and steaks, which was all really yummy. A great place to chill and watch the sun set!
Picture
Below you can find the cute dress I wore, along with my favorite classic bag and a few slides on sale that are really similar to the ones I'm wearing above! (The ones I'm wearing are from Banana Republic but no longer in stock :() I really loved this dress because it's a high quality linen blend dress with cute buttons and a nice sturdy belt, plus even though I wore it on the train for a couple hours it didn't wrinkle! This is so surprising for a linen dress! I've also linked the best selling apple watch band below that looks just like the Hermes Apple Watch band! I've had mine for a couple months and it still looks brand new, and I get so many compliments on it. Shop everything below by just clicking the pic!

MIssion Accepted: How I Put Together This Outfit for $1!

3/11/2019

I've started enjoying this new challenge recently where I try to see how low in price of an outfit I can make out of my current wardrobe! Its a walk down memory lane of my past conquests and makes me even more thrifty when shopping now. And I have really outdone myself with this one, where I literally only paid $1 for the top+jeans+shoes+bag! (Ok sorry this doesn't include the Gucci sunnies, but it was so bright outside) Keep scrolling to see all the details!

Banana Republic Tie Front Blouse [new, $0] Banana Republic Raw Hem High Rise Jeans [new, $0] Banana Republic Navy Block Heel Sandals [new, $0] Ralph Lauren Leather Tan Crossbody [secondhand, $1]
Picture
So how did I get all that Banana Republic loot for $0?? Rewards my friends, beautiful rewards <3 Those bad boys NEVER expire in my possession! The top, jeans, and shoes were all completely free when I applied the rewards I had received from the purchases I made with their credit card. It's important to remember that in order to get the better end of these store credit cards you have to pay it off every month in order to avoid crazy high interest rates. Otherwise you are paying so much more than you are getting back!

Unfortunately the top is over a year old but I found a nearly identical one from H&M for under $12! It's so classic and preppy, it is definitely a wardrobe staple!
Picture
The most flattering jean in the world is a dark high rise skinny jean. Don't @ me on this. Another thing I look for in a jean is a cotton/spandex/elastane  blend because they are stretchy but don't stretch out. These are my most recent BR reward purchase and I love that they are so versatile but have the fun raw hem bottoms. I've linked a very similar pair from Banana Republic below, currently over 30% off + free shipping!
Navy just happens to be my favorite clothing color and my most recent shoe obsession is a nice, retro block heel... so when I pulled these shoes off the clearance shelf, last pair AND in my size I was so freaking excited! There thick heel + ankle strap makes them so easy to walk in and the color goes with everything. Sadly they aren't making these anymore to link but I have found a few similar pairs on sale below! (those Calvin Kleins are on serious clearance!!)
Picture

And lastly, something that wasn't bought at Banana Republic. This Ralph Lauren leather crossbody was actually a Goodwill find! In the LA area, many goodwills participate in a Thursday tag color day where the tag color of the week is $1. And somehow this bag managed it's way all the way to Thursday and I snagged it! Couldn't find any good sales on a Ralph Lauren piece like this (they retail from $200-300) but linked a couple similar, classic brown crossbodys below.

Thanks for following along! I'm loving this series because it really pushes me to be an even smarter shopper and find more classic, versatile bargains (and steals!) Let me know what you think of these types of posts below in the comments. :)

Happy March! The rain has finally stopped (for now) in Southern California and it definitely feels like spring is almost here! In honor of the new, warmer month I decided to break out this new *to me* adorable linen maxi dress I recently thrifted for myself! Keep scrolling for all the details on this thrifted outfit!

I was so excited to thrift this dress for myself because the linen material is great for warmer temps, plus the button and bow detail is just so stinking cute! If you live somewhere where the weather is warming up, or you just want to purchase something in hopes of warmer weather soon, I've rounded up a whole bunch of similar, ADORABLE linen dresses that are ALL $20 and under! You can shop below by just clicking the picture that will take you directly to the website!
These Joie sandals were a total steal at the thrift, but if you are looking to invest in a great neutral sandal (that is also super comfy, I've walked loads in them already with no pain!) you can scoop up a pair that is on sale below through Amazon.
And because I continue to get compliments on this Hermes inspired Apple Watch band and you guys still have interested in it, I'll link it below if you want to scoop one up! I've had it a few months already, and it still looks brand freaking new. (And I'm clumsy and have hit it across everything) 10/10 recommend!
