Happy Monday! I know there is not really such a thing, but every day brings us closer to Christmas, am I right? Speaking of Christmas, I finished up all my gift shopping over the weekend and am SO relieved! The hubs had work in San Diego, and I followed along because I think he enjoys my company, but also because with two people in the car you can use the carpool lane (it was probably more the latter). That California traffic is no joke my friends! I dropped him off downtown and promptly made my way to one of my all time favorite malls, Fashion Valley. Doesn't that just sound like heaven? The weather was a tad dreary, so I opted for a warm and comfy #ootd. Cynthia Rowley sweater {new, $12}. Guess jeans {new, free}, Nordstrom booties {new, $20}, Louis Vuitton cross body bag {secondhand, $100} Outfit Total: $132 I actually found this Cynthia Rowley sweater at TJ Maxx with a yellow clearance sticker, which means the price is not going any lower. But at $12, how can it really? I have been searching for a light neutral cable knit sweater, and was so excited to pull this one off the rack! The sleeves have larger knitted holes, which adds some detail and makes this a bit more interesting than your average cable knit. I've only had it a few weeks but have worn it a number of times! Believe it or not, I received these $100 Guess jeans for free! I work promos here and there for some easy money, and I got to keep these jeans when I worked an event for the Guess racing series last year! I just stood around to take pictures with attendees and made $50/hr AND got to keep the clothes I wore! Promos are definitely something to look into if you enjoy modeling and working events. I've gotten to take home a number of clothes, shoes, jewelry, and swag from a number of brands! I was totally focused this time around and didn't pick up anything for me, but that doesn't mean I didn't window shop a little. ;)
I documented my shopping trip on IG and my story, definitely make sure to follow along @fancyfreeblog for more pics and details!

Sooo...for the record I would just like to say that I had all the intentions of buying Christmas gifts for others when I went to the mall on Monday. I really did! I only innocently wandered into the Tory Burch outlet store to show hubby the laptop bag I wanted for Christmas...and well, amazing deals happened! A new laptop bag was at the very top of my Christmas list. I have been using the same bag since high school, which has since lost the strap AND 1 out of 2 handles. I had been researching Kate Spade laptop bags, and the cheapest I had found was for $160 from Macy's. So imagine my surprise to walk into the KS store to find ALL handbags 60% off with an ADDITIONAL 20% off! I'll save you the annoying math and tell you this laptop bag went from $250 to $80 in the blink of an eye! The hubs immediately grabbed the bag and told me "Merry Christmas!" :D We were in such a #fancyfind high, I even got the matching wallet! *cue heart eyes emoji* Originally $150, we got the wallet for $70. While still over half off, it was nearly as much as an entire laptop bag. Crazy right?! Total Savings: $350 I've decided I definitely like early Christmas pressies. And I may or may not have carried the bag around on my shoulder thru the house with nothing inside. No judging. Happy Monday lovelies! With traveling, shopping, and all around holiday nutiness, I have been practically living in ballet flats lately. Easy to slip on, comfy, and can go with pretty much everything. My Gucci flats pictured above were a birthday gift and they are the quintessential flat becuase the light brown and white are neutral enough to go with nearly any other color, and the iconic GG pattern adds a high end touch! Another pair I have on repeat are my Tory Burch classic flats in a bright red. While a lot more colorful, I love the red because it pops so much, but I still wear them nearly as much as my Gucci flats because the color goes so well anything!
While both pairs are on the more expensive side, they are definitley pieces you want to invest in when they are so high quality and can be worn for years without showing their wear. Ultimately, the key to investing in a high quality pair of flats is making sure the size is right and they are comfortable (ain't nobody got time for blisters!) and ensuring they are neutral or can go with a variety of items. Definitely a key wardrobe staple! Below I have included a few pairs of flats I have my eye on. Total swoon am I right?! <3 Have your own pair of ballet flats you love?
