I was excited to share this outfit with y'all because a) I got some great deals on the items (duh) and b) I think this is the perfect late summer outfit! The bell sleeves are a fun detail and the combination of blues is very East Coast classic. Click the button to read more about this outfit and my new favorite easy hairstyle!
Banana Republic bell sleeve top [new, $15], Diane Von Furstenberg skirt [secondhand, $10], Banana Republic suede boots [new, $25], Louis Vuitton crossbody [secondhand, $100], Rayban Aviators [new, $90]
If you've spent any sort of time looking through social media, I would bet to say that you have come across the bell sleeve trend. You've probably even seen the typical "nonchalantly holding up my arm to show off the sleeve" picture every other girl is posting too. No shame.
Anyway, I came across this pretty piece while flipping through the clearance at Banana Republic. I had rewards burning a hole in my pocket and a 40% off sale sign egging me on. I mean for like 80% off, how can you not? One quick try on sesh and I knew it had to be mine.
**Some advice from personal experience: These sleeves are cute, but get into everythingggg. I would recommend NOT handling raw chicken in this top...or getting too close to those hook door handles. You WILL experience your shoulder yanked out of socket, and probably look pretty silly too. Like moi.**
If you follow my story on IG, you will have probably already seen the details on this skirt when I ordered it from The Real Real. I am regularly checking their sale section, and naturally that is where I found this DVF skirt.
** The Real Real advice: Whenever you register a new email, you receive a $25 credit to be used ON ANY PURCHASE WITH NO MINIMUM PURCHASE COST* So yeah, you can bet I am regularly registering every email address I can get my hands on...Hey, it got me this skirt for around $10 including shipping. No shame in the game.**
Yeah, I may have a Banana Republic problem. But their products are timeless and the quality is just too good! Similar to the top, I got these SUEDE booties with a combo of additional discounts and credit card rewards. The heels are the perfect height for adding some oomph without being uncomfortable. The bow is manually tied and really adds such a cute touch. This pair is definitely becoming one of my regulars! Jeans to dresses, they always finish the look.
On a beauty note, I have become addicted to this hairstyle. It is perfect for the second or third day after a blowout, and looks very sophisticated for taking literally 2 minutes. Make sure to not leave out too much hair underneath for the wrap because it will look to bulky and not last long before coming undone. I also recommend using a bobby pin in the hair tie before wrapping your hair around to make the whole pony more peppy. And voila! Cute hair that only looks like it took forever.
