If you are anything like me, you prefer comfy. And if you prefer comfy, you are very likely to have a number of leggings in your closet. No judging! They can look great in a variety of outfits, and you are free to eat and bloat to your heart's delight. Win! However, not all leggings are made equal. A cheap pair will undoubtedly give you serious saggy bottom and only a handful of wears, and I'm 100% sure no one wants that. Vintage Dior sweater [secondhand, $30], Lululemon leggings [new, $98], Hunter rain boots [new, $80], Burberry scarf [secondhand, $20] Outfit total: $228 Before and during college, I hadn't really viewed leggings as an investment piece. I would buy $10 pairs from Target or H&M and then wonder why they would become sheer and unwearable after only a few washes. It wasn't until after college I became introduced to Lululemon, and totally fell in love with all of their high quality, completely life changing pieces. However, as most of you know, these amazing Lululemon items definitely come with a hefty pricetag, and it is difficult to justify spending nearly triple digits (see here) on something as simple as leggings. But do the math! I have had these leggings for nearly 3 years now, and in that time I would have bought around 15 pairs of cheap-o leggings (5 per year). 10x15=150, which is already more than these high quality, life changing leggings cost me! And since this pair still has so much life left in them, I don't see myself having to buy more leggings anytime soon. Since they are quite an expensive purhcase that never go on sale, make sure to add these to your Christmas or birthday list! This sweater is actually a vintage Dior men's sweater that I scored off eBay. SO comfy and because it is men's and oversized, it makes for a polished comfy look over a pair of leggings. Not sure if I've shared the deets on my Hunters, but it is a great story! I'd been wanting a pair since the weather channel started predicting major rain storms in Southern California. In a post-Christmas sale, Nordstrom had certain colors of Hunters marked 1/2 off online, and even though they didn't offer my ideal color (cherry red), they had a dark burgundy color that was equally cute. I paid and everything, but was so disappointed to receive an email a few days later saying that they had actually sold out before I placed my order and no longer had any sale Hunters left! Well, after some persistent emailing with Nordstrom's customer service, they agreed to let me choose any other color I wanted at the same price! That Nordstrom customer service is really no joke. Yay for cherry red and yay for Sydney! This Burberry scarf is a recent eBay find, and because it is a smaller size, it looks great tied up over your head when you just can't decide what to do with your hair (like exactly what happened on this day).
