Fancy Fun: Beverly Hills Birthday
Even though my birthday was a few months ago, I couldn't resist creating a #throwback post to all the fancy fun I got to have that day (and dish on the celebrity I totally fan-girled over :0)
Banana Republic Lace Dress [secondhand, $15], Stuart Weitzman OTK boots [secondhand, $200], Vintage leather clutch bag [secondhand, hand me down], Burberry scarf [secondhand, $25], Chanel sunglasses [secondhand, $30]
Our first stop was The Polo Lounge restaurant for brunch inside The Beverly Hills Hotel. I have dreamed about eating here for so long! I was so excited in fact...that when I called to make a reservation, they told me they weren't even taking reservations that far out yet and to call back in a month :/ Embarrassing! Friends and fam will know I am serious about reservations and am SO reluctant to show up anywhere without one.
Brunch at The Polo Lounge is from a fixed menu costing $85 per person, which includes a cocktail, appetizer, entree, and dessert. Steep for us non-celebrity folks, but YOU GUYS. Keep scrolling for pics of a few of the amazing dishes we had. The pictures don't do any justice!
Crab cake with beets and baby carrots
Even with the luxurious atmosphere, live band, and delicious noms, nothing will exceed the moment JOHN FREAKING MAYER (!!!) strolled right by and made eye contact (!!!!!!!!!!) before sitting at his table RIGHT BEHIND US. I went totally numb!
After I came to from my little John Mayer episode, we embarked on part two of the birthday festivities. Pretending to be rich somebodies on Rodeo Dr.!
I've been so in love with Coco Mademoiselle perfume from Chanel, but it's not exactly something you can find at Perfumania. It never goes on sale, so I decided if I'm going to dish some funds on this perfume, I was going to do it in style! This was my first time scrolling into *any* Chanel store to purchase something, and that day I was going to spend money in one of the most famous in the world! One word: glorious.
Thank you for traveling along on one of my most favorite days! If you enjoy posts like this, or there are other things you would like to see, definitely make sure to leave a comment below!
