Fancy Fun: Downtown Napa
When most people think of Napa, they imagine vineyards and wine tastings. But when you get through the country, you will find the most photogenic downtown with the inspirations of a large city but a personable small town feel. I spent the day exploring this area of Napa with my mom, and we were incredibly awed!
Faux fur sweater vest [new, $20], Banana Republic top [new, $10], Banana Republic jeans [new, $40], Gucci belt [secondhand, $25], Gucci flats [new, gift], Louis Vuitton crossbody [secondhand, $100], Gucci scarf [new, gift], Rayban wayfarers [new, gift]
How charming is the First Street Bridge? Stretching over a (lower than usual) river (thanks CA drought), the bridge is lined with lamp posts and gives great views of the historic buildings. Pictures were a MUST.
"What's that over there?" ;)
We visited the Oxbow Public Market, an indoor market with a variety of vendors including fresh produce, a coffee shop, a butcher, and an oyster bar. High quality, clean, and a lot to offer. One word: SAMPLES.
Once we got hungry, we headed over to central downtown and found Bounty Hunter Wine Bar & Smokin' BBQ. Right on the water, we could smell it before we saw it. I like wine and I love BBQ, so I was totally on board.
Cajun shrimp wedge salad. Artistic AND delicious. :D
We couldn't come home empty handed, so we picked up a few delicious treats from Kara's Cupcakes, a Bay Area bakery chain. Pro Tip: Coconut cupcake is WHERE IT IS AT.
