Happy Friday! <3 I've decided to try out a styling category to share a few of my favorite ways to change up an item or outfit without having to totally revamp your wardrobe. Keep scrolling for two of my go to tips, and please let me know what you think! J. Crew Dress [new, $15], Target Gingham Bomber Jacket [new, $10], Banana Republic Suede Booties [new, $25], Louis Vuitton Crossbody [secondhand, $100], Rayban Aviators [new, $90] Outfit total: $240 Styling Tip #1: A draped jacket While maybe not always so practical, I love a jacket draped over my shoulders. From WWII era of wearing a gentleman's coat to stay warm, or the "high schoolers" from Rydell High in Grease (no way those actors looked like teens!), it has stood the test of time. I find it to be a graceful and unique way to add a twist to your outfit without having to add any new items to your wardrobe. **Warning: This may not be the perfect look if you plan to use your arms above your shoulders, you WILL keep losing the jacket :/ Recommended for coffee dates or a movie night Styling tip #2: Hair Ribbon I've been getting super crafty with my white ribbon lately. It was actually just part of the wrapping of a Tiffany & Co gift I received as a graduation gift (a gorgeous pen :D) but I have been incorporating it into a number of hairstyle to add a little pizzazz *insert jazz hands emoji*
For this look I used a clear rubber holder to secure half my hair, pulled a few pieces out from the front, and then just tied up the ribbon for a droopy bow. I have also been tying it up as a headband or in a big bun. Would you guys be interested in seeing a hair ribbon tutorial on a few of my favorite hairstyles and their how-tos? Let me know below, and don't be afraid to share some of your own styling tips as well!
